Closing and Selling the tools!

Local Works is closing its doors for good, but first there are tools and machines that need a new loving home.

Tools include:

– Tons of woodworking equipment

– Welding / Metal Working tools

– There’s even an airplane for sale

Come by the shop to shop and say hi!

Located on 4th Street, just next to the ReStore donation drop off.

Thank you for all of the support of this shop over the last 5 years. Even before this space was a reality and through the years there were so many people that supported my vision for a shared workspace, and I am eternally grateful. It’s been such a wonderful journey and great experience. We have done everything from Fix-it Clinics, sewing classes, woodworking classes, and woodturning demonstrations while continuously supporting our main purpose to help people have space and tools to create, launch and grow their own businesses and personal visions. There have been so many amazing projects built at the shop (too many to mention). I personally have seen this space bring a good deal of value to the community and provide a platform for makers to create and grow.

All of the love and support this shop has received from so many amazing people made this a very difficult decision. I have decided to shift my focus from Local Works to allow time to grow my other passions and career. Unfortunately, I will be stepping away from Local Works in mid-July. As this chapter ends and with this new beginning I’m excited for what it will bring, but it is certainly bittersweet as I have loved helping this community grow and appreciate all of the members and people who have shared my vision from the start.
